- repartition body composition
- quality CLA containing both isomers
effective for muscle building and fat l

CLA has repeatedly to be shown as a great body
partitioning agent in animal studies. It is also added to
feeding to improve growth efficiency in farm animals.
Recent research studied CLA in greater details in its
applications for humans. There are 2 types of CLA
molecules the 9,11 CLA isomer are found to improve
muscle growth. CLA 9,11 isomer appears to be a product
our body can make in small quantity as a "natural" factor in
growth in resistance-training hypertrophy.

The other 10,12 CLA isomer affects fat accumulation in the
body. Our body is not able to synthesize 10,12 CLA
isomer, its intake from dietary intake (e.g. beef, dairy)
especially important. 10,12 CLA isomer do not possess
lipolytic (fat burning) effects. This molecule primarily
prevents lipogenesis (fat cells filling), which is consistent
with the results, growing rats taking CLA supplements don’
t become as fat as those taking placebo. This is because
rat's fat cells don’t seem to enlarge when they are taking
10, 12 CLA isomer. Without 10,12 CLA isomers rats
normally grow larger and fatter with age. The 10,12 isomer
seems to prevent this undesirable symptom of aging.
10,12 CLA isomer is an inhibitor of lipoprotein lipase
(LPL), an enzyme that move bloodstream fat into fat cells.
It is also an inhibitor of delta-9 desaturase an enzyme that
increase the rate of body fat making from excess calories.

This 2 properties made CLA an excellent body partitioning
agent to gear the body towards increase leaness. On a
low fat diet It may be valuable in the "mass gaining
phase," to reduce fat gain that always come with muscle
gain in a natural athletes. Research suggest  3.4g per day
dose might improve feed efficiency (more tissue gain at a
given amount of food) without fat gain in college weight
trainers.
