- Standardised herbal product for men - Act against excessive androgenicity - Researched dosage of Saw Palmetto - Synergistically added with Pumpkin Seed Oil and Beta-sitosterol - Added with Vit E to prevent peroxidation Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) is a small palm tree native to the West Indies and the Eastern coast of America where the climate is warmer. Its deep-red brown coloured berries have medical properties. The lipid-soluble component of the berries are isolated and identified to be responsible for the health benefits. Saw Palmetto is commonly used to improve the condition of benign enlarged prostate which affect about a third of men over the age of 50. In this condition, prostate enlarged in size to press onto the urinary tract, causing inability to completely clear urine from the bladder. From a pathologically perspective, the prostate enlargement was signalled through excessive dihydro-testosterone (DHT) in the body. It was also proposed that Saw Palmetto extract is anti-inflammatory. It is not clear whether standardised Saw Palmetto extract helps to reduce DHT level in the body or its component(s) disrupted the DHT-receptor mechanism of signalling into the cell nucleus. Many research has concluded the effectiveness of Saw Palmetto extract in increasing urine flow rate. Pumpkin seed oil and Beta sitosterol are two other natural compounds found to be effective in improving androgenic-related conditions. It made sense to add these 3 components together for best effect. Saw Palmetto extract is completely safe, with no significant side effects ever reported in clinical trials. Scientific References 1.
